Tsunami warning: 7.1 magnitude earthquake in Japan
The Japan Meteorological Agency reported that a 7.1 magnitude earthquake struck Miyazaki on Thursday, prompting tsunami warnings for the Miyazaki and Kochi regions.

The earthquake occurred in Miyazaki Prefecture at approximately 4:40 PM local time on Thursday.
According to the Japan Meteorological Agency, the earthquake was felt in southern Miyazaki.
TSUNAMI WARNING ISSUED
Following the earthquake, tsunami warnings were issued for Miyazaki and Kochi Prefectures.
The agency reported that the earthquake occurred at a depth of 30 kilometers.
As of now, there is no information on casualties or damage.
