Söyüncü also spoke with Atletico Madrid, noting that he joined on a free transfer and requested leniency regarding his transfer fee to continue his career at Fenerbahçe.
Atletico Madrid Relents
Initially firm at €12 million, Atletico Madrid ultimately agreed to transfer Söyüncü to Fenerbahçe for nearly €10 million, including bonuses. After passing his medical examination, the national player signed officially and joined the team.
