Turkiye sees 1.26M motor vehicle registrations in H1
Over half million cars registered in Jan-June period

The number of road motor vehicles registered in Turkiye during the January-June period totaled 1.26 million, according to the Turkish Statistical Institute (TurkStat) on Friday.
The number of registered vehicles was up by 19.2% year-on-year in the first half, TurkStat figures showed.
In this period, 508,801 cars were registered in the country: among these cars, the share of gasoline-fueled cars was 65.2% followed by hybrid cars with 12.9%, diesel-fueled cars with 12.4%, electric cars with 8.4% and LPG-fueled cars with 1.1%.
At the end of June, the total number of road motor vehicles registered reached 29.98 million in the country.
At the end of June, cars represented 52.5%, motorcycles 18.8%, small trucks 15.3%, tractors 7.4%, trucks 3.3%, minibuses 1.7%, buses 0.7% and special purpose vehicles 0.3% of total number of road motor vehicles registered.
In June alone, 198,581 units of road motor vehicles were registered in the country.
