Trump criticizes electric cars: 'Elon Musk is a friend, but...'
Former U.S. President and Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump made striking comments about electric cars on Wednesday.
Trump acknowledged the support of Elon Musk, CEO of electric vehicle manufacturer Tesla, while expressing his opposition to widespread electric car ownership.
Speaking at the National Association of Black Journalists conference in Chicago, Trump said, "Elon Musk supported me and is my friend, but I am against everyone owning electric cars."
