NATO: Prepare for war with Russia in 20 years
NATO Military Committee Chair Admiral Rob Bauer recently stated that NATO countries must be prepared for a "total war" with Russia within the next 20 years. This stark warning emphasizes the unpredictability of international relations and the need for readiness.
Admiral Bauer highlighted the importance of being prepared for any conflict, even if it seems unlikely. "We must understand that living in peace is not guaranteed. Therefore, we should be ready to face a conflict with Russia. We need to be prepared for everything. Whether it happens or not, we must establish a system to train more people in case of war," he said.
Bauer commended the Swedish government for urging its citizens to prepare for war ahead of the country's formal entry into NATO. This move underscores the increasing tensions and the necessity for individual and national preparedness.
"It all starts here. We must realize that not everything can be planned and that things may not go smoothly in the next 20 years," Bauer stated, underscoring the unpredictable nature of global affairs.
Additionally, Bauer called for the modernization of the defense industry to ensure faster production of weapons and ammunition. This step is crucial for maintaining a robust defense capability in response to evolving global threats.
