King Harald of Norway hospitalized in Malaysia
The Norwegian royal family announced that King Harald of Norway was hospitalized in Malaysia due to an infection while on vacation.
While vacationing in Malaysia, 87-year-old King Harald fell ill and was admitted to a hospital because of an infection. "The King became ill during his vacation in Malaysia and was hospitalized due to an infection," the statement said.
The statement also noted that King Harald is receiving care from both Malaysian and Norwegian health personnel.
King Harald, who has been Norway's monarch since 1991, is Europe's oldest reigning monarch. In recent years, he has been hospitalized several times for infections and underwent heart surgery.
