Harry: King's cancer may unite royal family
Prince Harry has expressed hope that King Charles' cancer diagnosis could bring their family closer.

In an interview with ABC News, he shared his immediate travel to London to see his father, emphasizing the significance of family unity in times of illness. "I love my family," Harry stated, reflecting on his gratitude for the time spent with King Charles. He remained reserved about the King's health prognosis, considering it a private matter.
Harry's visit to the UK was brief, lasting just one night, and did not include a meeting with his brother, Prince William. Since moving to the U.S. with Meghan, Duchess of Sussex, and stepping back from royal duties in 2020, Harry has enjoyed life in California. He mentioned considering U.S. citizenship but clarified it's not a current priority.
The Duke of Sussex was promoting the Invictus Games in Canada during the interview, his first since the King's cancer news broke. King Charles has since paused public duties, with senior royals stepping in during his treatment. Harry's engagement included playing wheelchair curling with Michael Bublé at the Invictus Games training camp.
Buckingham Palace announced that Prince William will attend the Bafta film awards, marking his second royal engagement since the King's diagnosis and the Princess of Wales' recent surgery. The royal family remains in the public eye, balancing personal challenges with their official commitments.
