Israel warns Lebanon: 'We are approaching all-out war'
Following an attack on the Golan Heights, Israeli Foreign Minister Israel Katz declared, "We are approaching a moment of all-out war against Hezbollah and Lebanon."
In the wake of the assault on Majdal Shams, located in the northern part of the Israeli-occupied Golan Heights, Katz issued a stern warning.
"Hezbollah's attack today crossed all red lines, and an appropriate response will be given. We are approaching a moment of all-out war against Hezbollah and Lebanon," Katz said.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, who is currently in the United States for meetings, has cut short his visit and instructed that his plane depart at the earliest possible time.
A source close to Netanyahu stated that his plane is scheduled to depart from Washington, D.C., at 1:00 AM local time.
In a statement following the attack, Hezbollah denied launching a rocket attack on Majdal Shams and claimed no involvement in the incident.
However, Hezbollah had previously announced that they had fired dozens of rockets at an Israeli base in the Golan Heights.
The attack on Majdal Shams resulted in a rocket striking a football field, killing 10 Israelis aged between 10 and 20, and injuring at least 12 others.
