Admitted to physics with -1.75 net score in university exam
Prof. Dr. Behçet Yalın Özkara entered the YKS exam to highlight the flaws in the examination system. Remarkably, with a physics net score of -1.75, Özkara was admitted to a physics program.
Prof. Dr. Behçet Yalın Özkara, a faculty member at Eskişehir Osmangazi University's Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences, took the Turkiye's university exam 'Higher Education Institutions Exam (YKS)' to demonstrate the system's inconsistencies.
Remarkably, with a physics net score of -1.75, Özkara was admitted to a physics program.
Despite scoring -1.75 in physics, Özkara managed to secure a spot in a physics program.
Özkara shared the placement results on his social media account on the platform X (formerly known as Twitter), under the handle AkademikLink, writing, "I achieved my goal and was admitted to a Physics program with a -1.75 net score in Physics. How about your results?"
Prof. Dr. Özkara had previously gained recognition for his videos addressing issues of incompetence and nepotism in academia.
