Meta to suspend Threads in Turkey temporarily
Meta Platforms Inc. announced on Monday that it will temporarily suspend its social media platform Threads in Turkey starting April 29.

This move complies with an interim order from the Turkish competition authority. According to the company's blog post, this suspension will not affect Meta's other services in Turkey, including Facebook, Instagram, and WhatsApp.
Last month, the Turkish competition authority initiated an investigation into Meta, previously known as Facebook.
The inquiry focuses on potential abuses of the company's dominant market position, particularly concerning data sharing between Instagram and Threads. As part of this investigation, the authority implemented an interim measure to prevent data sharing between the two platforms.
