“Winning Doesn’t Mean Much”
After the match, MKE Ankaragücü Head Coach Cihat Arslan thanked the Kayserispor team for their hospitality.
He noted that it was a good and fair match, despite a moment of tension at the end. Arslan emphasized the strength and importance of their squad.
"We wanted to evaluate our players in a broad setting and match atmosphere," Arslan said. "We must avoid any mistakes on the road to the championship. We noticed a few physical shortcomings and some areas of improvement in our play. As coaches, we focus on these deficiencies during this period. This was a friendly match, and even a loss would not have mattered. Winning right now does not mean much. I wish Kayserispor success."
Will Tolga Ciğerci Stay on the Team?
When asked about their transfer targets, Arslan said, "Everyone knows we are looking for a center-back and a forward. We need a player to support Bajic and increase competition in the defense, possibly starting or coming off the bench. We do not want more than two players; we consider this sufficient."
Arslan confirmed that Tolga Ciğerci would stay on the team and expressed their happiness if Efkan Bekiroğlu, a very valuable player, remained with the team.
