Kaylee McKeown breaks her own Olympic record
Australian swimmer Kaylee McKeown set a new Olympic record, breaking her own previous mark, to win the gold medal in the women's 100-meter backstroke at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games.

The record-breaking performance took place at La Defense Arena in Paris.
McKeown secured the gold medal with a time of 57.33 seconds, surpassing her previous Olympic record of 57.47 seconds set at the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games.
The silver and bronze medals went to the United States. Regan Smith won the silver with a time of 57.66 seconds, while her compatriot Katharine Berkoff took the bronze with a time of 57.98 seconds.
