Fenerbahçe's Champions League dream ends! Fenerbahçe 1-1 Lille
Fenerbahçe's hopes of advancing in the Champions League were dashed as they drew 1-1 with Lille in the second leg of the 3rd Qualifying Round, following a 2-1 loss in the first leg.

Under the management of Jose Mourinho, Fenerbahçe faced off against Bruno Genesio's Lille in the return match of the Champions League 3rd Qualifying Round. The draw meant that Fenerbahçe was eliminated from the Champions League.
The match, held at Ülker Stadium, saw Fenerbahçe take a 1-0 lead in regular time, with the goal coming in the 90+1st minute through an own goal by Lille's Diakite.
In the 109th minute of extra time, Lille's Aissa Mandi received a red card, leaving his team with 10 men. Lille equalized in the 118th minute with a penalty converted by Jonathan David.
As a result, Lille advanced to the Champions League playoff round, while Fenerbahçe was relegated to the group stage of the UEFA Europa League.
