Fenerbahce dominates Union Saint-Gilloise: A 3-0 victory in Belgium
In the UEFA Europa Conference League's round of 16 first leg, Fenerbahce clinched a decisive 3-0 victory over Union Saint-Gilloise on Thursday.
Michy Batshuayi opened the scoring for Fenerbahce with a close-range goal in the 20th minute at the RSC Anderlecht Stadium in Belgium. The lead was extended to two by Jayden Oosterwolde in the 84th minute, and Dusan Tadic sealed the win with a penalty in stoppage time, securing a comfortable win for the Turkish club.
The teams will meet again for the second leg at the Fenerbahce Sukru Saracoglu Sports Complex on March 14.
In other UEFA Europa Conference League action, Ajax and Aston Villa played to a goalless draw at the Johan Cruijff ArenA, with both sides reduced to 10 men following red cards for Ajax's Tristan Gooijer and Aston Villa's Ezri Konsa.
