Champions League: Round of 16 second-leg showdowns begin
The UEFA Champions League Round of 16 second leg kicks off Tuesday with Bayern Munich facing Lazio, and Real Sociedad taking on Paris Saint-Germain in anticipated clashes.

Lazio comes into the match with a slim advantage, having secured a win against Bayern Munich at Stadio Olimpico through a Ciro Immobile penalty, following Dayot Upamecano's red card in the first leg.
Lazio's coach Maurizio Sarri emphasized the difficulty of the upcoming match, highlighting the need for resilience and optimism. "We must embrace the challenge with courage, knowing we have to start strong, something we've recently lacked," Sarri stated. Bayern Munich, on the other hand, looks to overturn a first-leg deficit for the first time since 2012, with coach Thomas Tuchel acknowledging the high stakes. "We're under pressure to deliver an extraordinary performance, hoping the home crowd will fuel our ambition for a decisive win," said Tuchel.
In another key match, Real Sociedad faces Paris Saint-Germain at Reala Arena, aiming to overturn a 2-0 deficit from the first leg. Goals from Kylian Mbappe and Bradley Barcola gave Paris Saint-Germain the upper hand in their initial encounter. Both matches are set to begin at 2000 GMT.
The second-leg fixtures will take place on March 5-6 and March 12-13, with the final scheduled for June 1 at London's Wembley Stadium, a venue renowned for hosting seven European Cup finals — the most of any stadium. The upcoming matches promise intense competition as teams vie for a spot in the quarter-finals.
