Turkish stocks open week looking down
BIST 100 index falls 63.44 points from previous close
The Turkish benchmark stock index opened Monday at 10,827.98 points, decreasing 0.58% or 63.44 points from the previous close.
On Friday, Borsa Istanbul's BIST 100 index gained 0.18% to 510,891.42 points with a daily transaction volume of 84.3 billion Turkish liras ($2.56 billion).
The US dollar/Turkish lira (USD/TRY) exchange rate was 32.9475 as of 9.54 a.m. local time (0654GMT), the EUR/TRY rate stood at 35.8536, and the GBP/TRY rate was 42.4515
The price of one ounce of gold was $2,437.20, and the barrel price of Brent oil was around $80.62.
