Turkish stock market rises at opening

The BIST 100 index saw an increase of 65.72 points, or 0.76%, opening at 8,711.84 points on Friday, following a 1.76% rise to a record high of 8,646.12 points at Thursday's close. Trading volume on Thursday reached 113 billion liras ($3.73 billion).
As of 10:25 a.m. local time Friday (GMT 07:25), the USD/TRY exchange rate was 30.4560, the EUR/TRY rate was 33.1560, and the GBP/TRY rate stood at 38.8380.
Gold was priced at $2,074.05 per ounce, while Brent crude oil was trading at approximately $79.25 a barrel.
