Turkish stock index rises at market open.
Turkey's benchmark stock index, the BIST 100, opened Monday at 8,028.79 points, marking an increase of 0.86% or 68.84 points from its previous close. The index had concluded the previous week at 7,959.95 points, rising 0.78% with a trading volume of 79 billion Turkish liras ($2.74 billion).
At 10:05 a.m. local time, the US dollar traded at 28.9060 Turkish liras, while the euro stood at 31.6925 liras, and the British pound fetched 36.4838 liras. Brent crude oil was priced at approximately $80.02 per barrel, and gold was trading at $2,011.35 an ounce.
