Turkish stocks open flat on Thursday
BIST 100 Index Marginally Rises in Opening Session.
Turkey's benchmark stock index, the BIST 100, started Thursday's trading slightly higher at 7,991.94 points, a marginal increase of 0.06% or 4.91 points from its previous closing.
On Wednesday, Borsa Istanbul's BIST 100 index fell 0.74%, closing at 7,987.03 points. The day's trading volume reached 84.6 billion Turkish liras (about $2.93 billion).
The US dollar traded at 28.8566 against the Turkish lira as of 10.03 a.m. local time, while the euro was at 31.5286 liras, and the British pound was 36.0934 liras.
Brent crude oil hovered around $81.00 per barrel, and gold was priced at $1,996.15 per ounce.
