Turkish stock exchange up at weekly open
BIST 100 index gains around 50 points at opening session
The Turkish benchmark stock index opened Monday at 10,901.90 points, up by 0.46% or 50.12 points from the previous close.
On Friday, the BIST 100 index went down by 0.19% to 10,851.78 points with a daily transaction volume of 97 billion liras ($2.98 billion).
The US dollar/Turkish lira (USD/TRY) exchange rate was 32.6670 as of 10.05 a.m. (0705GMT), the EUR/TRY rate stood at 35.3590, while the GBP/TRY rate was 41.8285.
The price of one ounce of gold was $2,377.15, and the barrel price of Brent oil was around $85.80.
