Turkish stock exchange up at Tuesday opening
BIST 100 index gains 24.92 points from previous close
The Turkish benchmark stock index opened Tuesday at 10,889.00 points, rising 0.23% or 24.92 points from the previous close.
On Monday, Borsa Istanbul's BIST 100 index rose 0.11% to 10,864.08 points with a daily transaction volume of 93.8 billion liras ($2.87 billion).
The US dollar/Turkish lira (USD/TRY) exchange rate was 32.7701 as of 9.52 a.m. (0652GMT), the EUR/TRY rate stood at 35.4795, and the GBP/TRY rate was 41.9674.
The price of one ounce of gold was $2,369.95, and the barrel price of Brent oil was around $85.67.
