Turkish stock exchange up at Thursday's open
BIST 100 index gains around 90 points at opening session
The Turkish benchmark stock index opened Thursday at 10,832.87 points, up by 0.83% or 89.57 points from the previous close.
On Wednesday, the BIST 100 index went down by 0.49% to 10,743.30 points with a daily transaction volume of 103 billion Turkish liras ($3.12 billion).
The US dollar/Turkish lira (USD/TRY) exchange rate was 32.9390 as of 10.10 a.m. (0710GMT), the EUR/TRY rate stood at 35.8285, while the GBP/TRY rate was 42.3620.
The price of one ounce of gold was $2,381.06, and the barrel price of Brent oil was around $85.10.
