Turkish stock exchange up at open
BIST 100 index gains around 66.2 points at opening session
The Turkish benchmark stock index opened Monday at 10,714.07 points, up by 0.62% or 66.16 points from the previous close.
On Friday, the BIST 100 index dropped by 0.31% to 10,647.91 points with a daily transaction volume of 117 billion liras ($3.55 billion).
The US dollar/Turkish lira (USD/TRY) exchange rate was 32.6590 as of 10.35 a.m. (0735GMT), the EUR/TRY rate stood at 35.1610, while the GBP/TRY rate was 41.3690.
The price of one ounce of gold was $2,326.10, and the barrel price of Brent oil was around $85.50.
