Turkish stock exchange up at Friday open
BIST 100 index gains around 5.1 points at opening session

The Turkish benchmark stock index opened Friday at 11,144.59 points, up slightly by 0.05% or 5.14 points from the previous close.
On Thursday, the BIST 100 index was up slightly by 0.05% to a record closing level of 11,139.46 points with a daily transaction volume of 109 billion liras ($3.31 billion).
The US dollar/Turkish lira (USD/TRY) exchange rate was 33.1155 as of 10.05 a.m. (0705GMT), the EUR/TRY rate stood at 36.0850, while the GBP/TRY rate was 42.8330.
The price of one ounce of gold was $2,421.98, and the barrel price of Brent oil was around $83.70.
