Turkish stock exchange rises at Thursday's open
Turkey's benchmark stock index began trading on Thursday at 8,104.04 points, marking an increase of 0.99%, or 79.67 points, from its previous closing figure.

The Borsa Istanbul's BIST 100 index ended Wednesday down 0.10%, closing at 8,024.37 points with a daily trading volume of 75 billion liras (about $2.5 billion).
As of 9:52 a.m. local time (0652 GMT), the US dollar to Turkish lira exchange rate was 30.1416. Meanwhile, the euro was trading at 32.8653 liras, and the British pound was valued at 38.2700 liras.
In the commodities market, Brent crude oil was trading at approximately $78.43 per barrel. The price for an ounce of gold stood at $2,013.65.
