Turkish stock exchange opens lower on Wednesday
Turkey's benchmark stock index opened at 7,998.51 points on Wednesday, marking a 0.42% decrease, or 33.66 points, from the previous close.

On Tuesday, the Borsa Istanbul's BIST 100 index closed at 8,032.17 points, declining 0.15% with a daily trading volume of 81.5 billion liras ($2.7 billion).
As of 09.56 a.m. local time (0656GMT), the US dollar to Turkish lira exchange rate was 30.0975. The euro was trading at 32.7177 liras, and the British pound was worth 37.9745 liras.
In commodities, Brent crude oil was priced at approximately $77.71 per barrel, while gold was trading at $2,022.60 per ounce.
