Turkish stock exchange rises at opening
Turkey's benchmark stock index, the BIST 100, opened at 8,101.23 points on Tuesday, marking a 1.14% increase, or a gain of 91.1 points from the previous close.
The BIST 100 had previously closed at 8,010.14 points on Monday, up by 0.17%, with a daily trading volume of 76 billion Turkish liras (approximately $2.52 billion).
The USD/TRY exchange rate stood at 30.2745 as of 18.20 (GMT1520). Meanwhile, the EUR/TRY and GBP/TRY exchange rates were 33.0660 and 38.5770, respectively.
In the commodities market, gold traded at $2,034.50 per ounce, and Brent oil prices hovered around $80.20 per barrel.
