Turkish stock exchange rises at Friday's opening
The Turkish benchmark stock index, BIST 100, opened Friday at 8,040.29 points, marking a 0.3% increase, or a gain of 24.2 points, from the previous close.

On Thursday, the BIST 100 slightly declined by 0.1%, closing at 8,016.09 points, with a daily trading volume of 92 billion Turkish liras (about $3.04 billion).
As of 18:05 GMT (15:05 GMT), the USD/TRY exchange rate stood at 30.1925. Meanwhile, the EUR/TRY and GBP/TRY rates were at 32.8800 and 38.2785, respectively.
Gold prices reached $2,026.20 per ounce, while Brent oil stood at around $79.20 per barrel.
