Turkish stock exchange opens flat midweek
The Turkish benchmark stock index, the BIST 100, opened at 8,480.29 points on Wednesday, marking a modest gain of 0.07%, or six points, compared to the previous close.

On Tuesday, the index closed with a slight increase of 0.03%, reaching 8,474.30 points. The day's trading saw a substantial volume of transactions, totaling 102 billion Turkish liras (approximately $3.34 billion).
In currency markets, the US dollar to Turkish lira (USD/TRY) exchange rate stood at 30.3650 as of 10:18 GMT (0718 GMT), with the Euro to Turkish lira (EUR/TRY) exchange rate at 32.8860. Meanwhile, the British pound to Turkish lira (GBP/TRY) rate was 38.4860.
In commodities, gold traded at $2,054.45 per ounce, while Brent oil's barrel price hovered around $82.20.
