Mehmet Şimşek expect trade deficit to fall
Treasury and Finance Minister Mehmet Şimşek announced on social media that a significant decrease in the annual current account deficit is expected in July, highlighting the evident balancing in foreign trade.

Minister Şimşek shared details about the foreign trade data for July on his social media account, emphasizing the noticeable balance in foreign trade. He stated:
"In July, the annual foreign trade balance improved by $5.3 billion compared to the previous month and by $38.8 billion compared to the same month last year. We expect a significant decrease in the annual current account deficit in July. By combining structural reforms with cyclical factors, we aim to make the sustainable current account deficit and our gains in reserves permanent."
