US warns Putin: "Stay out of our elections" amid preference for Biden
The US on Thursday warned Russian President Vladimir Putin to "stay out of our elections" after he expressed a preference for President Joe Biden over former President Donald Trump, suggesting Biden's predictability makes him a preferable choice for Russia.

"Mr. Putin is fully aware of how this administration has been countering Russia's malign influence globally, especially our efforts in Ukraine," White House National Security Council Spokesman John Kirby stated during a press briefing.
"We have repeatedly shown our readiness to confront Russia's actions, particularly in Ukraine. Mr. Putin, just stay out of our elections."
Putin, in a broadcast interview with Russian state television on Wednesday, disclosed his preference for Biden, citing his "predictability." Nonetheless, he emphasized Moscow's readiness to collaborate with any US leader elected by the American people.
