US deploys fighter jets to the Middle East amid Israel-Iran tensions
The U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) has announced the redeployment of several fifth-generation F-22 Raptor fighter jets to the Middle East.

In response to the potential escalation of tensions between Israel and Iran, CENTCOM stated that the U.S. has repositioned some of its F-22 Raptors in the region.
The official statement noted, "The F-22 Raptors arrived in the U.S. Central Command area of responsibility on August 8 as part of adjustments to the U.S. force posture in the region to reduce the likelihood of regional escalation by Iran or its proxies."
Earlier, the Pentagon had announced the deployment of additional warships and aircraft to the Middle East to support Israel and had increased its readiness to deploy missile defense capabilities.
