Trump to hold rally at site of assassination attempt
Former U.S. President Donald Trump announced he will hold another campaign rally at the site where he survived an assassination attempt on July 13.

In a post on Truth Social, Trump wrote, "I will be returning to Butler, Pennsylvania, for a big and beautiful rally."
Trump said the rally would honor firefighter Corey Comperatore, who died during the assassination attempt, and other “patriots” who were injured. He did not specify the date of the event.
He concluded his post with, "Fight, fight, fight! Stay tuned for details."
On July 13, Trump was giving a speech at a campaign rally in Butler, Pennsylvania, when he was shot in the right ear. One attendee was killed, two were injured, and the U.S. Secret Service reported that the assailant was neutralized.
The FBI classified the attack as an assassination attempt, identifying the perpetrator, who was killed at the scene, as 20-year-old Thomas Matthew Crooks.
