Trump establishes new energy council
US President Donald Trump signed an executive order Friday to create a "national energy dominance council" to guide policy on energy.

The move highlights Trump’s commitment to accelerating domestic oil and gas production, which is already at record levels.
"We have more energy than any other country and now we are unleashing it," Trump said as he signed the order in the Oval Office.
The council will be helmed by Interior Secretary Doug Burgum and its vice-chair will be Energy Secretary Chris Wright.
