Previously, on March 9, Sanchez revealed his intention to propose the recognition of a Palestinian state to Spain's parliament.
This move aligns with a recent joint statement from the leaders of Spain, Ireland, Slovenia, and Malta, declaring their intention to recognize a Palestinian state.
They emphasized that a two-state solution, where Israeli and Palestinian states coexist in peace and security, is the only path to enduring peace and stability in the region.
