Russia says awaiting details of Trump's Gaza plan
Russia on Monday said it is awaiting further details regarding US President Donald Trump’s reported plan to take over and rebuild the Gaza Strip.

Speaking to reporters in Moscow, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov noted that there are many unanswered questions about the proposal. “We need to wait for some details if this is a consistent action plan. There are nearly 1.2 million Palestinians living there—that is the main issue,” Peskov said.
He added that these people were promised a statehood solution under relevant UN Security Council resolutions.
“There are many such questions. We do not know the details yet, and we need to be patient,” the spokesman added.
On Feb. 4, Trump said Washington would “take over” Gaza and resettle Palestinians elsewhere under an extraordinary redevelopment plan that he claimed could turn the enclave into “the Riviera of the Middle East.”
His proposal was met with widespread condemnation from the Palestinians, Arab countries, and many other nations across the world, including Canada, France, Germany, and the UK.
