Putin lauds ‘unprecedented’ level of Russia-China ties in message to Xi
Russian President Vladimir Putin on Wednesday lauded the “unprecedented” level of ties between Moscow and Beijing in a message to his Chinese counterpart Xi Jinping on the occasion of the country’s 76th National Day.
“Russian-Chinese relations are at an unprecedented level – this was fully confirmed by our recent thorough and constructive discussions in Tianjin and Beijing,” Putin said in a congratulatory message to Chinese President Xi Jinping, which was published by the Kremlin.
Putin argued that China continued to advance along the path of socioeconomic, scientific, and technological development, while consistently strengthening its position on the international stage and contributing to addressing the most key issues on the global agenda.
He further expressed confidence that the implementation of the deals reached will contribute to bolstering bilateral partnership and dialogue, as well as to creating the conditions for the implementation of new large-scale joint projects in various fields.
“This undoubtedly meets the fundamental interests of the friendly peoples of Russia and China and is consistent with the construction of a just and democratic multipolar world order,” he added.
On Oct. 1, Beijing annually commemorates the establishment of the People's Republic of China, which was formally proclaimed in 1949 by Mao Zedong.
