According to the report, the strikes began Saturday morning and have involved extensive aerial operations. The Israeli military said it has fired thousands of munitions and carried out more than 700 sorties over Iranian territory since the start of the campaign.

The reported targets included senior military and political figures, among them Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei and commanders of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), as well as air defense systems, ballistic missiles and their launchers, intelligence facilities, and command centers.

An Israeli military official told the newspaper that Israeli and US forces worked together for months to compile a comprehensive target list, spending thousands of hours gathering intelligence and preparing for the operation.

The joint offensive, launched Saturday, reportedly killed several top Iranian leaders, including Khamenei. Tehran responded with a series of drone and missile attacks targeting Israel, US assets, and several Gulf countries.

The escalation follows a similar Israeli-US attack on Iran last June, which triggered a 12-day war before a ceasefire was announced.
