North Korea launches multiple ballistic missiles in response to US-South Korea military drill
North Korea on Monday launched multiple ballistic missiles toward the Yellow Sea, hours after hours after the US and South Korea kicked off an annual large-scale joint military exercise, Seoul's military said.

The Joint Chiefs of Staff said it detected the launch of "unidentified" ballistic missiles from North Korea's Hwanghae province at around 1.50 pm local time (0450GMT), the Seoul-based Yonhap News reported.
The military, however, did not provide further details.
The Joint Chiefs of Staff also said it has bolstered surveillance and maintained a full readiness posture under close cooperation with the US.
