Middle finger scandal on BBC
In a surprising on-air mishap, BBC presenter Maryam Moshiri was caught flashing the middle finger during a live broadcast.

The incident occurred just as the network's famous musical countdown concluded on the world feed of BBC News at 12 noon (UK time) on Wednesday, December 6.
Moshiri, appearing shocked, quickly composed herself and continued with the broadcast. She seamlessly transitioned into presenting the news, including headlines about Boris Johnson, maintaining professionalism despite the earlier gaffe.
Viewers took the incident in stride, with many finding humor in the situation. One viewer tweeted, likening the occurrence to a new BBC show, 'The Do One Show.' Others shared their amusement and surprise on social media, with one suggesting it could become a new reaction meme.
The incident showcases Moshiri's recovery skills, honed over her 16-year career. This poise was also evident last month when Moshiri was anchoring as BBC journalist Rushdi Abualouf reported from Gaza City. During the broadcast, an explosion nearby interrupted Abualouf's report. Moshiri quickly checked on Abualouf's well-being before the feed cut off.
Abualouf and his family left Gaza for safety on November 20, following the incident.
