"House of the Dragon" season 2 premiere date announced
Fans of the "Game of Thrones" universe have eagerly awaited news, and it's finally here: "House of the Dragon" is set to return with its second season this year. J.B. Perrette, Chief of Streaming and Gaming at Warner Bros Discovery, has provided fans with the much-anticipated date.

J.B. Perrette revealed in an interview that the new adventure in this magical world will make its HBO premiere in June. Based on George R.R. Martin's "Fire & Blood," "House of the Dragon" explores the story of the Targaryen dynasty on the continent of Westeros. The series delves into events approximately 200 years before "Game of Thrones," focusing on the Targaryens around 100 years after they united the Seven Kingdoms.
The first season, which was met with significant interest and achieved record viewership for HBO, has already heightened anticipation for the second season. The cast includes Matt Smith, Olivia Cooke, Emma D'Arcy, Eve Best, Steve Toussaint, Fabien Frankel, Ewan Mitchell, and many others.
Despite starting production in 2023, the series, unaffected by industry events such as the Writers Guild of America strike and the SAG-AFTRA strike, has completed all preparations. It aims to enchant viewers with a captivating second season.
