Demonstrators call for Gaza ceasefire
Tens of thousands have taken to the streets across Europe in a sweeping show of solidarity, demanding a permanent ceasefire in Gaza.

Amid a temporary humanitarian pause, cities like London, Berlin, Geneva, Vienna, and Milan saw major protests. In London, crowds marched from Hyde Park to Parliament Square, chanting pro-Palestinian slogans and urging the UK government to stop supporting Israel.
In Germany, cities including Aachen and Berlin hosted protests where demonstrators criticized Western support for Israel and voiced strong support for Palestine. These protests featured poignant slogans and banners calling for peace.
In Geneva, protesters marched to the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights office, strongly opposing Israeli actions in Gaza and mourning the loss of civilian lives. They demanded an end to what they called the genocide in Gaza and an immediate ceasefire.
Demonstrations also took place in Austria and Italy, with protesters in Vienna and Milan expressing solidarity with Palestine. They displayed banners opposing the occupation and supporting Gaza. Some protesters wore shrouds and carried children's coffins, symbolizing the Palestinian casualties. These widespread protests across Europe highlight growing concerns about the humanitarian crisis in Gaza.
