Death toll from Cyclone Garance in France’s La Reunion rises to 4
The death toll from Cyclone Garance in La Reunion, France’s Indian Ocean territory, has risen to four, local authorities said.

The storm has left 160,000 households without electricity, 310,000 without water, and 139,000 without internet access, the La Reunion Governorate said on X.
Authorities have placed 953 people in shelters as the cyclone continues to impact the island.
The governorate has urged residents to remain cautious and limit travel amid ongoing risks.
