At least 33 civilians were killed and dozens injured in artillery shelling by the paramilitary Rapid Support Forces (RSF) of El-Fasher, the capital of North Darfur State in western Sudan, the army said Monday.

A military statement said that RSF militants launched indiscriminate artillery bombardment since Sunday morning.
There was no immediate comment from the RSF on the report.
