Commenting on the assassination of Hamas Political Bureau Chief Ismail Haniyeh in Iran, AK Party Spokesperson Ömer Çelik stated that Israel has taken a significant step towards initiating a regional war.
"Israel Has Pulled the First Trigger for Regional War"
According to Sputnik Turkiye, Çelik claimed that Israel has moved to a new stage in genocide and has pulled the first trigger to start a regional war. "Today marks a turning point; they have directly pulled the trigger," he said.
"Haniyeh Would Have Spoken at the Grand National Assembly of Turkiye"
Çelik mentioned that had Haniyeh not been assassinated, he was scheduled to speak at the Grand National Assembly of Turkiye (TBMM) in August. “Plans were made for Mahmoud Abbas and Ismail Haniyeh to speak in the Assembly on the same day. Haniyeh was to address the TBMM in August,” he added.
