The pro-government West Coast news platform said the strikes hit Houthi weapons depots in the Al-Jubah district, without providing details on casualties or damage.

In a separate development in Marib, Yemeni government forces foiled a Houthi infiltration attempt in the Harib district, the outlet said.

In another incident, the media arm of the Taiz military command said warplanes struck a Houthi ballistic missile launch platform at Taiz airport.

Local sources also reported airstrikes targeting a meeting of Houthi leaders at the local council building in Khadir, east of Taiz.

The reported attacks come amid escalating fighting between the Houthis and government-aligned forces. In recent weeks, airstrikes have also targeted Houthi positions, reinforcements and missile-launching sites in Taiz province.

Yemen has been engulfed in conflict since the Houthis seized the capital Sanaa in 2014, prompting a Saudi-led coalition to intervene in March 2015 in support of the internationally recognized Yemeni government.
