5.6 magnitude earthquake strikes Azerbaijan
An earthquake with a magnitude of 5.6 struck Azerbaijan early today.
The epicenter, located in the Caspian Sea, occurred at around 8:16 am local time (0416GMT). The earthquake's tremors were also felt in Azerbaijan's capital, Baku. Fortunately, according to the Emergency Situations Ministry of Azerbaijan, there have been no reports of damage or casualties.
However, it's important to note that another source, Trends News Line, reported significant tremors, injuries, and structural damage in the region. This contradicts the reports of no casualties or damage and highlights the importance of verifying information from multiple sources, especially in fast-evolving situations like natural disasters.
