4.3 magnitude earthquake strikes US state of California
A 4.3 magnitude earthquake jolted the US state of California early Monday, according to the US Geological Survey.
The US Geological Survey reported that the earthquake struck just over 1.6 km (1 mile) east-southeast of Berkeley at a shallow depth of 8 km (5 miles).
The quake hit at 2.56 am local time (0956GMT) and was felt in the cities of San Francisco and San Jose.
The US National Tsunami Warning Center also reported that no tsunami is expected.
There were no immediate reports of injuries or major damage.
