The Turkish Foreign Ministry has criticized the Council of Europe Parliamentary Assembly's refusal to approve the credentials of Azerbaijan's National Delegation, stating, "This decision contradicts democratic values and infringes on the right to representation."

The ministry was the first to respond to the refusal to recognize the Azerbaijani National Delegation's credentials.

"The decision by the Council of Europe Parliamentary Assembly (PACE) not to approve the credentials of the Azerbaijani National Delegation is regrettable," the Ministry's statement read.

"It clashes with democratic values and undermines the right to representation. Clearly, this move, which effectively shuts down avenues for cooperation and dialogue, will not contribute to peace and stability in the region. Turkey calls on PACE to rectify this error promptly and to concentrate on promoting peace efforts in the South Caucasus."
