Central Bank Governor Hafize Gaye Erkan, who moved in with her mother citing expensive rents in Istanbul, had her salary from the institution she worked for in the USA disclosed.

Hafize Gaye Erkan, Governor of the Central Bank of the Republic of Turkey (CBRT), answered questions from Ahmet Hakan, the Editor-in-Chief of Hürriyet, known for its closeness to the government.
